Celebrate 20 Years of Sculpture Programs in Bemidji with a Party Downtown this June
We are hosting a 20th anniversary celebration Block Party on Saturday, June 22, Downtown Bemidji.
The Sculpture Walk that was born 20 years ago will literally come to life later this week. As part of the event several living sculptures and sculptors will be stationed on Beltrami Avenue between Third and Fourth streets. At assigned times, they will "come alive" and read scripts written by Sculpture Walk board member Cate Belleveau. You'll see The Thinker, Peter Pan, Nefertiti the Egyptian queen and others.
Also enjoy Live Music, Food & Drink out on the street, Free Lemonade & Popcorn, Art Demonstrations - feat. internationally-known chainsaw wood carver Molly Wiste, and a Raffle for the last Dog Sculpture from our popular SculpturePainters program. You could take home Kathy Gustafson's exquisite golden poodle.
